The Toy Retailers Association has released its annual list of what it predicts will be the big sellers this Christmas, Parents are advised to buy early to avoid disappointment so if you’re stuck for ideas, read on.

The dream dozen, along with hundreds of other toys,were put on display at St Mary's Church in central London. Large groups of children were shipped in to try them all out and there were a few clear favourites: Hasbro has bought out Iggle Piggle, a rising star of the BBC's CBeebies channel , a huge demand for this toy has manufacturer's selling out as soon as they are in, as well as the toy Puppy Grows and Knows Your Name and the Roary the Racing Car.

The Optimus Prime Transformer which changes from a truck into a robot will be another hard to get toy after the summer movie hit making it even more popular.
Another in the annual list from the British Toy Retailers Association is the Flytech Dragonfly. It is the first to achieve flight by copying the movement of the real creature and is said to be "crash resistant".

The New Baby Annabell also makes the list along with one for the older girls the Barbie MP3 player and the Bendeez super delux studio.
Among the current best selling toys are figures from the BBC's Dr Who series, Character options have released the Doctor Who Dalek Voice Mask, children who have already tried the mask out have rated it as the best toy ever.

Also on the list is the "Are You Smarter Than A 10 Year Old? Board Game , based on Noel Edmonds TV series.
One of the most popular games that is not on the list is Xbox 360 Halo 3 Game, a must for any computer game enthusiast.

Gary Grant of the Toy Retailers Association has said "a box of plastic bricks isn't enough now. The creative, imaginative side of play has embraced technology".
"It has moved toys into an arena where children are going to play with an item for much longer than in the past".
